Aeroex Oil Mist Eliminators
Aeroex systems efficiently and cost effectively solves environmental problems associated with oil mist emissions in the metalworking industry, as well as other applications where aerosols must be captured. The units feature a unique patented mechanical pre-separation and a permanent self-draining media that maintains constant high separation efficiency. There are no consumables and maintenance is minimal to none.
What does the oil mist separator remove?
Aerosols ~Liquids ~ Oils ~ Water ~ Emulsions
The Aeroex axial oil separation product line features a unique patented mechanical pre-separation and permanent self-draining media, called agglomerator that maintains constant high separation efficiency.
The first stage of mechanical separation,
coaxial tubes forming 3 stages of separation,
separates 75-85% of the oil mist, particles
above 1 micron. The agglomerator media captures
the smaller oil droplets down to 0.5 microns,
producing a total system efficiency of up to
98%. The oil droplet agglomerator functions best
once wet oil, using the oil bath principle, fine
droplets are absorbed into the oil in the media.
The Aeroex axial mist separator is one of few
that is truly self-draining, designed for 24/7
operation. The cylinder design creates a high
media surface area to air flow ratio thus a low
air velocity preventing mist to be carried off
the media. The oil drains down vertical and not
into the airflow like many flat media filters.

Oil Mist Collector Principle (Literature, How to size a unit) The product line features unique mechanical pre-separation elements and permanent self-draining depth fiber filter called agglomerator which maintains a constant high separation efficiency.
The first stage mechanical elements
separates over 90% of the mist and
provides exceptional gravity
drainage. The bulk of the oil is
quickly removed out of the air flow,
reducing oil evaporation and odors
(oil captured in filters will
evaporate over time). The
mechanical elements has a high
tolerance for solids and eliminates
most solids from the air stream.

Oil Mist Separators
Literature, How to size a unit Back
An oil mist collector with:
It is not safe to drink your cutting fluid so why breathe it?
Small and effective
3nine oil mist collectors are based on completely new technology that allows a very high degree of purification in a format of unsurpassed compactness. 3nine collectors can be installed directly on every machine tool, making filter cabinets and duct work unnecessary. This saves floor space and does away with bulky air ducts that get in the way and need to be maintained. It also makes it easier to move the machines when production requirements change.

The secret is under the skin!
Based on several years of technical development work, 3nine oil mist collectors use centrifugal force to separate oil mist and oil fumes. 3nine technology is covered by patent and design protection. The unique rotating internal plates separate the oil mist far more effectively than traditional centrifugal separation technologies such as cyclones and rotary filters.
The rotating internal parts of 3nine oil mist collectors work like an intelligent fan and provide a vacuum effect which makes external fan systems unnecessary. 3nine oil mist collectors provide up to 99.9% purification (according to independent tests by VTT an official testing body in Finland) and can handle air flow rates from 300 to 1,800 cfm (500-3,000 m3/h). For higher air flow rates, 3nine collectors can be interconnected by means of a special modular system. All 3nine collectors meet health and safety requirements in terms of degree of purification and enhance the quality of the air in your workshop.
No filter changes!
The filters in today's oil mist collectors clog up easily and need regular replacement and cleaning - in some cases several times a year. The problems are particularly difficult when the concentration of oil mist or the amount of solid particles is high. A unique property of 3nine oil mist collectors is their ability to handle very high concentrations of oil mist and solid particles. 3nine oil mist Collector do not clog up like filters. Instead they feed the separated cutting fluid back to the machine tool. Time-consuming, costly filter changes are a thing of the past.
Savings from day one!!!
3nine oil mist collectors perform better and cost less than today's filter installations. Here are five powerful reasons why investing in 3nine technology save you money from day one:
Needs no filter changes and reduces running costs by about 50% compared with filter plants
Needs no air duct runs and awkward installation work
Does not occupy any floor space
Minimizes cutting fluid loss and avoids filter disposal costs
Saves energy when the clean air is fed back into the workshop

Cleaning-In-Place tm is an automatic cleaning system that can easily be connected to 3nine oil mist collectors.
Cleaning-In-Place tm was developed for extreme applications in which high concentrations of solid particles are carried away by the oil mist, for example during grinding or when machining casting. Cleaning-In-Place tm, which is completely automatic, gives you guaranteed maintenance-free operation even under the most severe conditions.
Cleaning-In-Place tm has been specially designed to be easy to install. The system flushes and cleans the inside of the oil mist Collector with cutting fluid from the machine tool.
Flushing is done intermittently by means of an automatic valve controlled by a timer. There is no loss of cutting fluid with Cleaning-In-Place tm, since the fluid is fed directly back to the machine tool.
Cleaning-In-Place tm works with emulsions and oils. 3nine recommends Cleaning-In-Place tm in the following cases:
Grinding and polishing applications
Machining of cast iron
Heat treatment (quench oil) applications
